According to the feasibility study report of the construction investment project of Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport) phase 1 approved by the Prime Minister, there are 2 routes connecting Long Thanh airport including the route number 1 and 2.

In which, route No.1 connects from National Highway 51 to Long Thanh airport and route No.2 starts from Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway connecting directly to route No. 1 (parallel to the national highway) Highway 51, coincides with the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway).

For route No. 1 (3.8 km long), connecting the main axis of Long Thanh Airport (west end) with National Highway 51. Phase 1 investment with a scale of 6 lanes. The implementation of site clearance is carried out on a complete scale (10 main lanes and 6 parallel urban lanes), the cross-sectional width varies from 85-120 m.

With route No. 2 (3.5 km long), connecting route No. 1 with Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay highway. The scale of the cross-section includes 4 lanes along 2 independent branches, parallel to the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway.

According to the approved project, the investor builds two routes connecting the airport and is assigned to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV). The site clearance work is assigned to the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province to perform.

Information about the project progress, exchanged with the press, Mr. Nguyen Khac Phong, Head of the Executive Board of Long Thanh airport project under ACV said, to serve the transportation of materials, gathering construction vehicles. Upon entering the construction site, ACV proposed to the Provincial People’s Committee to soon carry out site clearance for the construction projects of 2 roads connecting Long Thanh airport.

“Currently, ACV has hired a consultant to design the basis for the construction of 2 roads. The unit recommends that the Provincial People’s Committee soon direct the implementation of site clearance, especially giving priority to route No. 1 because this is the route serving the project’s construction, “said Mr. Nguyen Khac Phong.

Notably, about the funding to carry out the site clearance for the construction of 2 roads connecting Long Thanh airport, Mr. Phong said that the unit was ready.

“The total cost of site clearance for the project to build two roads is about 1,500 billion VND ready. When the locality completes the legal procedures, we will transfer the money to serve the payment,” Phong said.

In addition, to serve the construction of two roads connecting Long Thanh airport, Dong Nai province will carry out site clearance for an area of ​​about 136 hectares. The Provincial People’s Committee has also assigned Long Thanh District People’s Committee to be the unit responsible for site clearance.

According to Mr. Le Van Tiep, Vice Chairman of Long Thanh District People’s Committee, the district has assigned the Long Thanh District Project Management Board as the representative to act as the investor of the site clearance subproject of 2 traffic routes connecting the airport. Currently, the handover of the land acquisition map and the list of land plots included in the project of the two roads and the handover of landmarks in the field has also been completed.

At the same time, Long Thanh District People’s Committee also assigned the Land Fund Development Center to carry out the work of land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement of the two projects.

“Currently, the authorities are collecting cadastral records to complete and transfer to the District Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review and advise the People’s Committee of Long Thanh District to issue a land recovery plan and announce land acquisition. according to the law. Particularly, the inventory of land and houses is expected to be carried out in mid-March, “said Vice Chairman of Long Thanh District People’s Committee.
